The MouSTer - Universal USB Mouse Adapter

The MouSTer is a USB mouse adapter for classic computers and retro systems. It allows the connection of modern USB mice (not only those using the PS/2 protocol) as well as many other USB devices to a wide range of classic computer platforms.

The adapter works with nearly any USB mouse. The firmware is in constant development and continuously expands compatibility. The user’s manual is available inside a >mouSTer.ini

file after connecting a FAT32-formatted USB flash drive.

Supported Retro Platforms:

• ZX Spectrum via Kempston Interface
• Commodore 64/128
• Commodore 64 ULTIMATE 
• MEGA65 
• Commodore VIC-20
• Atari ST/STe Serie
• Atari Falcon
• Atari 400/800/XE/XL
• Atari 2600/5200
• Amiga 500/600/1200 as well as Amiga 1000/2000/3000/4000
• Amiga CD32 –original pad emulation fully supported

Supported USB Devices:

• All USB mice
• All USB gamepads (Bluetooth dongles are not supported)
• All USB joysticks (varies depending on model, limited testing)

In addition, nearly all USB flash drives are supported (for configuration backup and upload).

Note to Power Supply:

Due to the limited power output of DB9 ports in classic computer systems, some modern mice with many LEDs or additional electronics may not function properly. Technically, these devices are supported, but there may not be enough power available to run them reliably.
